Rycan Retaining and Earthworks owns its machinery and therefore your project won’t be delayed waiting for hire machinery to become available. Our fleet includes a mini Bobcat E20 Excavator, a mini Bobcat S70 Skid Steer, and a 5.5-tonne Bobcat Excavator E45 with a counterweight fitted allowing it to lift up to 700 kgs.

Mini Skid Steer & Mini Excavator - Wet Hire
Mini earthmoving equipment is highly maneuverable on any work site. They can access areas no less than 1 metre wide, perfect for those confined spaces, and reduce positioning time compared to large excavation machinery. These lighter vehicles don’t dig up the soil or turn work sites into quagmires when it rains. Our mini equipment leaves a very small footprint on operating surfaces, reducing risks to driveways, gardens, etc.

E45 Excavator - Wet Hire
We offer Wet Hire excavation services to the Brisbane West and Ipswich suburbs of Qld. An E45 Bobcat Excavator is purpose-built for moving large heavy objects e.g. sandstone, and boulders. Ours is particularly special as it is fitted with a 1t counter-weight which allows it to lift objects up to 700 kgs and allows the machine to have all the strength of a 5.5t excavator.
Our standard Wet Hire includes: E45 Excavator with a Licensed Civil Excavation Operator and the following attachments:
- 300mm Trench Bucket
- 1200mm Mud Bucket
- 450mm Bucket (fitted with heavy-duty tiger teeth)
- 450mm Clay Auger (standard soil)
- 450mm Rock Auger (soft rock)
Additional fees and charges apply to the following specialty attachments:
- Hydraulic Grabber
- 450mm Dedicated Rock Auger (hard rock)
- Hydraulic Hammer
Note: Additional fees and charges apply to weekend hires. We also charge a float fee to transport machinery to and from the site, this depends on the distance from our depot.
